Friends and Members:
It has been a busy summer for C51 and our supporters thus far, and we hope to continue the amazing work we’ve done together. At C51 we remain focused on the support and advocacy of three core issues we believe are vital to the continued prosperity and security of our country: fiscal responsibility, a strong national defense, and energy advancement. Be sure stay informed by liking us on Facebook

. Please expect emails, statuses, and tweets to follow as we have lots of things planned. Until then, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to since the beginning of the summer.
To start, we hosted a meet and greet in Washington, D.C. on June 2nd and a kickoff event in NYC on June 13th. For the DC event, local politicos and interested parties met members of the board Seth Levey, Annie Medaglia, and Matt Swift to speak about the future of the Republican Party and C51’s role in it. It was an immense honor to have former Congressman Pete Hoekstra (MI-02) join us in our discussions.
We were then thrilled to have held our Summer Kick-off Party at Riff Raff’s in New York City on June 13th. The event was a great forum for current members to get together and share our message with potential members. The event was a tremendous success, bringing in roughly 100 more guests than expected. Co-founder Matt Swift used the opportunity to make a speech regarding Concord 51, our three core issues, and how essential current and new membership is to the PAC.
On Monday June 17th
, we hosted a lunch with Congressman Mick Mulvaney
(SC-05) at P.J. Clarke's in Midtown. Representative Mulvaney is one of the most involved members of the House Committee on Financial Services. We discussed improving upon the well of candidates from which the Republican Party draws, better vetting of candidates, and improving the young voter turnout. He emphasized the need for stronger party unity and leadership.
Later that night, we hosted a dinner with Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) at the Union League Club. The evening included a roundtable dialogue with the Senator where he discussed the country's immense energy potential, as well as the need for greater (energy) efficiency and fewer redundancies in our defense programs. He praised the manner in which the people of Moore, OK had refused the assistance of FEMA, all so that they could rebuild their own lives without the bureaucracy or inefficiency of the federal government.
We also welcomed Congressman Tom Graves(GA-14) at the Union League Club on Friday June 21st for a breakfast we hosted. Rep. Graves, a former small business owner, outlined the need for a simplified tax code. Moreover, he discussed the failures of his party's tone and communication, an area that C51 his been working to address. He sought guidance from our PAC about ways he could improve his message to millennials.
We were honored to have Congressman Bob Gibbs (OH-7), Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14), and State Treasurer Josh Mandel in attendance at our Ohio Launch Event in Garrettsville on June 22nd. This was a terrific step for our PAC's continued expansion across the country. Peter Kepich, the former Co-Chair of our Fordham Chapter, organized the event and it was hosted at the Kepich family's brewery in Garrettsville, just outside of Cleveland. Co-founder Matt Swift gave a speech on our three core principles and explained how both donations and public support are crucial towards the success of our organization.
This past weekend, we were honored to have co-founder Matt Swift
recognized by Red Alert Politics
at their “30 under 30” event in Washington, D.C
. Many young conservatives attended the event to celebrate the 30 honorees that were selected out of 400 applications. Make sure you have a look at the profiles for Matt and the other honorees here
. A few of our interns were also at the event and have a lot they wanted to share in a blog post here
Thank you for your continued support, we are truly grateful for your contribution to our organization and mission. We have great things coming up and hope that you will remain committed as we grow our organization further. Please feel free to contact us or help with a monetary donation
