Concord 51 is proud to support Mitt Romney for President of the United States because we firmly believe that he is the only candidate with the vision, drive and experience necessary to reset the path of the United States toward prosperity.
The story of Mitt Romney’s life is well-known, and any retelling of that story paints the portrait of an exceptional human being – a man so evidently fit to be President of the United States that even his critics struggle to contrive substantive criticisms of the man or his policies. Looking past the pretense and spectacle of campaign politics, the facts of Mitt Romney’s life tell the story of a remarkably focused man, a life filled with purpose and accomplishment, and an unwavering commitment to American exceptionalism. Under every overturned rock in Romney’s past we find the story of a man consumed by the desire and the ability to be a winner, with unshakable principles.
Mitt Romney’s success at Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School, Bain & Co., Bain Capital and as Governor of Massachusetts are at this point a matter of public knowledge. But many members of Concord51 are fortunate enough to have a more personal account of Romney’s character after hearing him deliver an electrifying and lucid speech on the nature and origins of economic prosperity at a breakfast event in New York City in December of 2011. He began by discussing the agricultural revolution, and how it facilitated a radical expansion in the population, and ultimately led to the industrial revolution. He then moved on to discuss the technological revolution, and how it created previously unimaginable efficiencies. He concluded that the miracle of capitalism was that the profits generated by industrious and extraordinary individuals serve as the capital for the revolutionary products and ideas of the generations that follow. This speech served as a glowing reminder that Mitt Romney is not only a man with a deep, yet pragmatic understanding of the aggregate mechanics of prosperity, but a proven leader with a long track record of bringing ambitious ideas to life.

In spite of all his accomplishments, he is a very humble genuine man of service. A true leader able to reuunite both Democrats and Republicans while serving as Governor of MA. Why doesn't he use the 52% college graduates unemployed to get out the youth vote, which Obama won easily last time?
I have not seen Romney reuniting many Dems & Repubs. so far. What will it take for him to do this? Ryan sure isn't putting Dems and Repubs under the tent together. Ryan's economic plan seems to have made this a clear "choice" of candidate election, not one based on Romney's economic views. Based on what Romney says and has actually done on economics I'm not sure there is much to go on about his economic views. Ryan at least put one out there. No matter, I'm sure after the financial community reads it all they will support Romney/Ryan and unite be they Dems or Repubs.
